Dann,
You should be able to use the pulley's from the 267. The 3 groove at the balancer will only use the front 2 grooves. Farthest from the front cover will be for the alternator and water pump, next grove back will be for the power steering and water pump. My water pump pulley runs with both.
I've been running the 267 set on my 406 for many years without any issues and the new 79 has the same set-up.
Just need belts for a non air pump, non air conditioned car.

Hope this helps!
Bob S.

thanks man.

well its not the best looking but its better then paying $80! hose clamp, an a piece of steel from a heavy gauge spring i got in a multi pack spring kit. works every time now! it was getting old trying to close the hood just right so the latch catches!

Well fellas i went through a divorce, but the build must go on....lol

I ordered headers, power steering brackets, custom P/s mount. hopefully i get them by the beginning of next week!

Now what i need is a clue on what ignition i should run any suggestions on what distributor, wires, and coil combos would be awesome!

Iv been looking at the MSD streetfire any pros & cons?

Thanks for any help.

I went with a distributor from Davis Unified Ignition that is curved specifically to my combination. It came with cap, rotor and coil. I went with Taylor 8mm wires. Mine will just be a cruiser though. Nothing exotic. I hear that Streetfire line from MSD is from China. No direct experience with it but that turns me off. My D.U.I. distributor and Taylor wires were all made in USA.

I'v used DUI on both my CJ-7 easy one wire set up, I have a thread on JEEP-CJ.com on the DUI set-up,there's a guy Called TEAMRUSH this guy is a CJ ingnition guru! DUI's parts are chinese from what iv read but im not saying for sure lol. i'll leave a link.

DUI is so easy its hard not to go with it though, so im with ya that one, but heres some good reading http://www.jeep-cj.com/forums/f2/dui-termination-23846/ do you know of a thread that has parts and tuning info for GM ignition kinda like the link i posted?

I will say this after i got my motorcraft ignition phased and tuned my CJ ran better then i could get the DUI and the DUI was a Great unit.. more or less im just looking for more options..

I mean like if unavailable in area. I've seen some areas some junkyards wanted $150+ for a factory SBC hei when a d.u.i. was $130 new at the time lol.

my thoughts on the MSD are i can get parts right down the street or take it back same day if it fails. they have the street fire on the shelf i touched it yesterday...
