John, don't have any experience/knowledge with those heads specifically but want to share the following. I see the ad says bare heads which means no valves, springs, retainers, etc.

A few weeks ago, I bought Summit brand heads (SUM-162109) for my daily driver/semi-modified 350. I did a lot of online research/comparisons/reading. I was looking for aluminum that weren't outlandishly performance but would give me more oomph yet would not break the bank. I had read on a site that Summit's heads were made by Trick Flow. On the Summit site, I compared the ones I eventually bought with Trick Flow's TFS-30410002. With the exception of a few features (combustion chamber style, intake/exhaust runner volume, max valve lift, and valve guide/seat material), they appeared identical. But for me, the major difference was price: Summit brand $1099/pair vs TFS $635 each.

I haven't installed the heads yet...still building the motor but wanted to share some information with others who are updating/upgrading their rides.

Good luck!

I’m not a 100 percent sure what I will use them on thinking my 400sbc but without buying a set and giving them a shot how will I ever know

Both Summit and Trick Flow heads have a combustion chamber volume of 62cc. With these heads and my engine specs/parts (flat top pistons), my compression ratio computes as 9.4:1. Basically, right where I wanted to be in order to use pump gas.

My pistons are standard 4" bore Speed-Pro Hypereutectic H631CP with 5.0cc volume valve eyebrows.

These pistons were part of an engine rebuild kit I purchased from Summit.

Using the compression ratio calculator on Summit site, it computes at 9.4:1.

If you want the specifics, here they are:
Bore: 4 in
Stroke: 3.48 in
Cylinder Head Volume: 62cc
Effective dome volume: 5.0cc
Deck clearance: .050 in
Compressed gasket thickness: .039 in
# cylinders: 8

I'm good with that but will probably check it after it breaks in.
