What seals it? A gasket or press fit.

They sent a green oring. I have the original red oring too. I didn't know if the gouges would affect how it seals. I figured if the oil pump is sucking air from the start it'd kill oil pressure.

Kind of what I was thinking. I think I'll contact them in the morning and see if they'll send out a new pickup tube.

Did you pay for a damaged pick up? Or for a new one? Even if they refund all your money, i wouldn't use it.

It came with the new super shops pan. Hopefully they'll send a new one. If not I guess I'll return it all

The o-ring seal is critical to the LS oil pump. Get a replacement.

Talked to super shops this morning. They offered to send me the holley pickup tube since they don't have separate ss tubes. It's a single bolt instead of 2, but I figured it's good from the factory it'll work here.They shipped it today, hopefully I'll get it sometime this week. Fast and friendly customer service. I can't complain. Thanks everyone for the insight.
