Re: Supskylesup THUMBS DOWN!!!

I think that was pretty quick to jump to conclusions....Supskylesup has been on this site quite a while and there has never been a complaint about him that I can think of so I think instead of jumping on him give him the benefit of the doubt before you call him a thief.. and instead of ruining his reputation if I was ever going to sell something I'd think twice before I sold it to someone who jumps off the deep end so quickly...just saying

Re: Supskylesup THUMBS DOWN!!!

I fully agree with Safari Wagon, absolutely you do not promise something then fail to do it and don't explain yourself or even communicate at all, then you are wrong, period! Not the person who in good faith sent the money and was promised something in return. A week after a promise with no communication is plenty long enough. The guy might be basically honest, but he dropped the ball on this one and people shouldn't be rewarding slack behavior.
I hope he does come through this time and rebuild his rep as he goes along. I'm 58 and was raised to believe a promise was a contract and my bond. It's not a mere guideline for something that may or may not happen at such a time as one gets around to it! I hope younger people still feel that way and this is an exception, otherwise I am really perplexed by the support some of you give the person that was wrong vs the person who did every single thing as promised expecting the same in return! :?

Re: Supskylesup THUMBS DOWN!!!

I'm not trying to throw Kyle under the bus either, but I'm kinda on the same page with Randy on this one. I treat people the way I want to be treated.

I work 2nd shift and weekends. It's a terrible shift and it puts a dent in my personal life. However, I know how agitated I get when people drag their feet about sending my parts; therefore I act with a sense of urgency when I sell parts. I understand $hit happens sometimes too. Just make an effort to communicate that there's been a snag.

Re: Supskylesup THUMBS DOWN!!!

I have to agree with G-body-Vet and Randy on this one. Communication is key. When I sell a part to someone, I try to assure the buyer when they can expect delivery by, and also forward a tracking # to them. I feel it insures good faith and helps put the buyer at ease.
Stick to your guns when you tell a buyer when they can possibly expect to receive a part. Don't deviate from what you've promised.
I also like to treat people the same way I would expect to be treated.

Re: Supskylesup THUMBS DOWN!!!

I have to agree with you three but I still think a more tactful way of dealing with it could have been used....may ask if anyone else had had problems dealing with someone. Usually if there is a scammer among us one of us has had some dealings with him/her

Re: Supskylesup THUMBS DOWN!!!

Well guys I appreciate those who stuck up for me on this one although I don't want anyone taking sides either.
My problem with it was He called me a theif which I am not one single bit.
Also I am not trying to scam anyone on here. I'm not hurting for money or any sort of thing like that. It was just a matter of not being able to make time to ship the part.
My only down fall was my recent change in hours at my work. Which I had no control over.
I feel there was just some miscommunication in this sale mostly on my part.
However due to the fact that I don't check my email that often is no excuse to go bashing me on here. You could've easily shot me a PM which would've made things alot easier.
Either way what's done is done sorry to let me fellow g-bodyer's down.
Parts are getting shipped out tomorrow and half of the original purchase price will be refunded Friday.
Also I'm removing my thread for the parts I have for sale till this crap blows over.
I won't put my reputation on the line like this again. Not because I'll **** up again but due to the fact that I don't need people flying off the handle like this anymore. If anyone needs anything shot me a PM otherwise there going to local buyers.
Thanks again guys
And safari wagon sorry for your troubles

I wouldn't worry about it. You made it right in the end and it's not like you were ducking from him to begin with. sh*t happens and you guys were just on different pages with the communication. I would however consider having the title of this thread changed to RESOLVED....hint....hint SafariWagon. Last thing we all need is everyone jumping ship when we all need specific parts. It's easier than scouring bone yards and dealing with idiots from CL any day.
