sway bars, are they worth it?

Just imagine it like this, the part of the swaybar that bolts to the LCA is, what, 6" long and takes X amount of force to twist from one side to another. Then, you bolt the bar to the LCA's and effectively add 6"-8" more to the swaybar. Now, it takes less force due to more leverage to twist the bar. Remedy? Make the bar larger to reduce that flex. Result? More weight and more binding and less articulation.

Here's the same bar from Spohn. Spohn and SC&C supposedly developed this bar together.

That's why the F-body style mount is more effective.

Since it mounts from the rear to the frame the lever arm is 1/2 the length so a bar mounted this way is twice as effective (assumes same diameter).

I did a bunch of static testing as well as real world testing, fbody mount is the way to go.

Here is where I first started playing with the idea, it's long read.

I never considered installing the rear bar other than the conventional way....thanks for the links and suggestions and I'll put that on my mental to do list

That bar is more of a drag race only type piece and work great for that application. Most suggest limited street use do to the wear on the heims and odd handling on off camber turns, lifts tire going into driveways if approached at an angle.

There is another guy I have used that is half the cost on Ebay also. DSshop maybe?
