Anytime you do open the heart of your car up and put it back together to hear it beat again your attached. Lol. If it's stuck wide open then car would make no boost. Are you sure is stuck wide open. Look inside exhaust elbow there is a little 3/4" round puck connected to that lever is it covering the little hole? The actuator is designed to hold the puck closed so boost can be made. Then once you let out of the gas the waste gate selinoid lets the pressure go activateing the wastegate actuator which in turn opens that puck dumping the boost off. If it didnt open at all boom there goes the headgasket.
