All you have to do is remove the bolts holding the plate under the coil pack to waterpump intake etc. The coil Pack and madule stay connected to thay plate just unscew the screw in wire connector on module and remove wires. As far as upgradeing your turbo your kind of limited on turbos because of the car being a hot air car. In my opinion these cars are more reliable or as reliable as a turbo buick can be in stock form. If you uPgrade the turbo its a snowball effect with the turbo comes injectors with injectors comes adjustable fuel pressure regulator you get the point. Stick with stock and you can turn the boost up a little but get a scanmaster because without that you dont want to make any changes until you know what the car is doing.

Thd exhaust pipe sticking up is called a downpipe. Yes will need to be unbolted from under car. While under car remove the exhaust crossover pipe from th exhaust headers that way you can remove the headers next.

ok il just keep it stock for now but how do you raise/lower ur boost maybe the previous owner had it up to high.

and how much is the scan tool and how does it work. is it something u hook up to ur computer or something and what kind of things can u adjust with it.

so here is the engine now

The crossover pipe unbolts half way down engine on both sides so yes. That gunky looking sh*t on the valley pan or intake gasket is oil build up over yrs. Probably motor never been touched until now. As far as raiseing boost you need a adjustable wastegate actuator. The scanmaster hooks into you diagnostic port under dash then you velcro to dash has digital display. Gives you all sensor readouts and displays when under hard boost if motor has knock or detination which is booth death of motor and head gaskets.

man im gettin knee deep in this sh*t lol. should i clean that build up? i wanna clean off all my parts whats good stuff to use like the intake and all that.

That build up is ontop of the intake gasket pull that off its a one piece gasket running from one head to the other that is junk now you can throw it away. As far as cleaning parts break clean works wonders. I wouldnt attempt to clean anything in lifter valley because the sludge might fall into oil pan causeing a clogged oil pump and even bigger problems. How many miles on that car.

That little round part i belives goes in the end of tube you unscrewed out of the egr.

dude seriously ur amazing lol . it says 97k but prolly 197k?

the last owner owned it since 2001 and seemed to know alot about cars he told me to go to turbobuick.com i dont know why he never did no maintenece on the car i know he knew alot more than i do cause he was like 50-55 years old and seemed intelligent
