Tall ball joints, A arms and spindle discussion-trying to find a good combo

That includes all of the ball joints. The arms themselves are around 400, about the same as the Spohns. Allot of folks would probably be shocked that there is more money in my frame than most pay for their cars lol. I am building this car to handle, not drag race.

LOL, really? That is a pretty weak flex (G-body frame punn fully intended).

I hope you are investing as much capital into HPDE as you are into what are otherwise going to be underperforming suspension components. It is going to feel very disappointing when you are out run by a stock Yaris. Even with the best of parts these cars are still glorified dump trucks.

It is far more educational learning how to drive a crap car fast, than it is to drive a dollar sign with wheels slow.

Can you explain the differance between the adjustable upper arm and non adjustable like you have shown? That's one of the things I am hung up on in my mind

Upper Control Arms are adjusted with alignment shims, just like stock pre 1988 GM RWD cars.

Hey bud, thanks allot for the input.... Have you contributed a thing to this thread or just here to talk trash?

I just ran across this on SC&Cs sight. they are doing the ball joints reverse of what I stated above with .9 upper and .5 lower. I wonder if the SC&C arm is going to make that big of a difference or if it just makes it easier for a shop to adjust, they are not exactly pretty to me and do not match all of the red spohn parts I already have

I used that kit on my Monte and it made a huge improvement in handling as well as lowering the front end a bit.
I didn't take a before and after measurement but it probably dropped the front an inch or more.

That is good info to know, Springs and shocks/coil overs is next on my list so I don't want to go too low with springs.

Yeah the handling is night and day difference since the addition of this kit.
I have a set of "Test Corners" on the way to my buddy's shop, its 5 corners going up a slight hill and it's scary how fast I"ve had the Monte going around them...
And I keep pouring the coal to the big block all the way up LOL

What are you using for springs and shocks? I'm trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger on coil overs. The big thing to me there, is with all of the variables with playing with the suspension to order a generic 1, 1.5 or 2" drop spring. By the time I buy 2 possibly 3 sets of springs, I could have paid for coil overs
