The Audi has come out with an electric car using old technology. Problem is there isn't much leg room....

If it's a slot car race you want, I'm accepting all challengers.

Just put a brand new ring gear in it and I'm running aftermarket slicks.

I have grandkids who are just about old enough to have a slot car track that I want...

The old movie Super Mario Brothers had an interesting idea to power electric cars, use a overhead power grid like bumper cars. Of course such a setup would only work in cities and maybe not even that well but still a cool idea from that film. Maybe run on the grid within cities and off batteries in rual areas?

As for hydrogen fuel, the main problem with that is compressing it. A tank of Hydrogen would need to be the size of the car itself to match the energy content of a normal sized gasoline tank. Remember when you compress gas you raise it's temp which limits how safely fuel gasses can be compressed in a tank.
