Texas vs. Harvey

With all the hype, sadly its got to absolutely destroy Texas or the media will be disappointed.

With each newscast they up the rainfall by 5 inches. Just now the "models" now say 31 inches of rain (up from 10" yesterday, 15" last night, , 20" this morning, 25" by noon, 30" at the evening news and the 10PM news has settled on 31 inches of rain... sure... that is not how any of this works, but whatever, they are the experts, south Texas better build an Ark.

If Houston gets 10" of rain there is a couple $ billion in damage. 31"? Those 32" wheels are looking pretty good about now.

Hope everyone stays safe. Im suppose to take a trip to Galveston on 9/7-9/10. Dont know how bad Galveston will get hit.

They are saying it will be a category 3 by the time it lands which means winds ranging from 111 to 130 mph. That will be brutal if that happens

To my Texas friends and members. Wishing you all to be safe with minimal to no property damage sustained.
We'll keep you in our thoughts.

Saw the weather report from here in the Pittsburgh area showing the storm from the national maps. Not good & the news claim parts may not be inhabitable for weeks to months, hope they are wrong.

Steve, I heard this morning they are expecting a 10 foot storm surge with 20 foot waves!!!! It was mentioned prior, but up to 30" of rain.

Stay safe texans, get the hell out if there if need be....material stuff can be replaced, your lives cannot!
