Not a 383, but I ran this healthy 355 with fuel injection for years. The cam had a .488/.510 lift, it was a blast on the street. It never ran hot, had one heck of a chug to it, but the block cracked after years of abuse!Thanks, Anyone here messed with a 383 with FI ? How does it do in traffic under normal everyday use ? I know back in the day a performance small block was great for racing, but not so much for a daily driver. Should I go with an LS which one is best suited for a 78 with AC ?
