But how many miles is a quick charge good for? And what negative effect does it have on the batteries? And that is only one factor involved that rarely gets mentioned.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not totally against EVs. In my current situation, an electric vehicle would work fine as my commuter car. But my situation may change soon as we plan to move. Right now I am trying to move to less than 10 miles away from work, but it is looking like I’ll have to go further out to get the property I want and build the size garage I want.

I have a couple years to mull it over since I'd be lucky to actually see it until 2023 2027 I've had my eye on them and it sure seems like they are worth it.

Fixed that for you. 🙂 At the rate they're getting cars to customers. There for a while they shot more into space than they've delivered to customers. Hope you get it sometime next decade though.

I am planning to get into a new type of transportation. I think there's big business in it!

I will cut out the middle man between burning coal and getting it to a car. Electricity grid can't take the extra load anyways and you take out the transmission losses.

First I will burn coal and boil water into steam to run a turbine. Instead of converting it to electricity, I'll just transmit it directly to the cars wheels! Forget the time to charge a battery also, just scoop some coal and put water in the tank, bam! We have reduced our need for petroleum!!

Guys it's totally innovative!!

NYE innovations (I believe that's the name). Has a prototype Turbofied waste burning drum that feeds hot exhaust to a gas turbine generator. If I get my hands on some of the big truck turbos from work, its prototype time.

I believe Jay Leno owns several of those innovative type cars (though not turbine driven) that are nearly 100 years old. As I am sure you are well aware of. Do you guys remember the turbine prototypes from the sixties and seventies that car manufacturers were toying with? Jay Leno owns one of those too. I believe it was made by Chrysler though it looked like a T-Bird.
