BUILD THREAD “The Juggernaut”

No problem Donovan....all i can say and I'm sure all would agree is i know quality and skill when i see it, and the 'Naut is overflowing with the results buddy.

Met a car guy at the street rod nationals here in Louisville a couple years back that I've followed for a very long time. Dude puts out nothing but top notch builds, and i can honestly say the workmanship you have integrated into that cutlass is right up there with the best.

I'm pretty sure you might recognize this guy 😉

Sorry for the blurry pic...he bumped into my wife, she turned around as he apologized and said "scott, it's chip foose!" Honestly, i was like a kid on xmas....foose is one of my idols in the car world! He was super cool, but didn't stand around long as people were about to swarm him!

Scott,
Cool pic...great guy! Chip looks like your long lost brother.. 😛 I'll bet you wish he was your brother. 😉 I've always heard that Chip is a very approachable guy.

Thanks Jack! If he was my brother the cutlass woulda been done along time ago with more custom touches than I've done to it. Yes, super nice guy and didn't hesitate to stop for a quick pic, and very appreciative when i told him he has been an idol for a long time. I told him I'm "foosing" stuff on my cutlass....make subtle mods appear it came from the factory that way. He grinned, said it's a pleasure to hear, and bolted back to his seat before literally getting ambushed by people!

I have something a bit special in mind when it comes to the paint, but I'm not gonna give too much away on that just yet. Let's just say it's going to be "retro/OEM inspired".

Oh boy sounds like we got another Gold and Beige g-body headed our way!!

Chip is definitely a great guy and a role model for us all - I can attest to that as well.

I too met Chip a number of years back, at an autograph signing he was doing at the Wheels n Waves car show in Spokane Washington.
Super nice guy, laid back, calm cool and collected. I have a pic of me with him too somewhere, just as equally blurry as yours believe it or not! Must be something about him and cameras...
Lol
While I was there, I had him sign a laminated copy of an article that featured my car in the local paper. If you look close, you can see his autograph in the lower right hand corner.

The mere fact that you'd put me anywhere near the same league as the Master Customizer is beyond flattering!

Mucho Gracias Amigo!

Hahaha

Nope, definitely not those colors! They would clash horribly with the dark Claret interior.
But I'm not gonna say anything more on it either...
😀
You all are just gonna have to wait and see. It'll all depend if I can nail down just the right shade and metallic in the color I have in mind.
Stay tuned...
😉

I forgot to ask this before

Do you have a closeup of the exhaust ports you fabbed up behind the doors?

What was need to do to the rocker/interior. Did you run the exhaust up above the chassis rail?

Oh boy!!! 70's speed boat metallic!!!!!

Haha, not on your life...!!

On the exhaust, the answers to your questions are "yes, and yes". The lower control arms mount where the I wanted the exhaust to exit, and the #4 body mounts are right there too. So I had to cut out the rear passenger's footwells and weld in raised sections for the mufflers to sit. Then the "tail pipes" go through the floor, through a housing, and up and over the frame, exiting out the body.

Here's a couple close ups of the passenger's side where the exhaust exits the body, and the custom bezels my buddy created for me on his CNC.
