thinking of buying this GP i found not too far from my house. its been sitting there for a while, all i know so far is that its got a 305 with 100k+ miles on it, and it ran when parked... hows it look? ive only seen 2 of these in town, and i dont see them on the internet too often, so i dunno how good of a deal it is.hes got the title to it, and its only $400. hows it sound?

I'd be looking underneath at the car...the moisture that comes with sitting on grass eats a car pretty quick

In all honesty I wouldn't pay more than $150 for that. Gonna need a lot of work to make that thing something you'd want to drive.

x2! Just by looking at how deep the tires are sunken you can tell it's been there for quite awhile. It's a headache and money pit waiting to happen to be honest.

You can find a better GP for a decent price that's better equipped, especially the 78-80's since they're the redheaded step-children of g-bodies.

on the other side of the coin it seems like it might make a good parts car if you have a place to park it. The body is complete and it looks to be in decent condition

all good thoughts. i do have a place to park it, my yards huge. i thought of this car because itd be one to drive while i tore down the cutty, but now, looking at these points itd probably be the other way around..

you might want to pop the hood too to see what the squirrels or field mice have been up to. The body does look straight and the chrome looks good from the pictures so if you do have a place to park it and can get it for a couple of 100 then I'd get it if I were you

I'd rather have the Bolens, and I like Pontiacs.

After many miss-adventures in junk car buying. My rule is buy one that runs drives and stops. will save you money in the end. I have a 69 cutlass i purchased for 500$. It looked about in the same shape as that car. it will be 3 years before it ever sees the road, and id have probably been better off spending and extra 2500 on a driving one and still be money ahead.

I mean there's no problem with taking the car if you've got space but it's just that I wouldn't pay for it. Offer to just take it out of the guys yard. At least start there. And again if you really want it I'd say no more than $200! You're doing him a favor taking that thing.
