lol ive only got 400. ill try it, go up there with some cash in hand and offer straight up 400. might take some convincing though..lol

With the price of scrap these days 400 not to unreasonable. Worst case scenario, you can sell a couple parts off it then junk the rest and make your money back. I'd look at any g-body real hard with a price of 500 or less.

I think $400 for that would be a fair price. You could use it as a parts car for another project, sell parts you dont need, then scrap whats left and you made your $400 back. Like pontiacgp said it looks pretty straight body wise, im sure the frame is shot but I see more than $400 worth of parts sitting there.

It's sort of an unwritten rule around here $2,000 for a clean running gm needing paint $1500 for a good running dirty one $350 for a non-running car. But you havent even tried the spark plugs/ battery and fire it up test yet.....

are you really going to take his word that it 'ran when parked?'

$350 !

I once drove 200 miles to look at a car, and it ended up being just like that one. Sunken in the mud. When I popped the hood, the ground was up to the frame, and everything made of metal was crusty rusty and disintegrated. I wouldn't do anything until I had that car up in the air for a good look-see.

Definitely worth the $400 as a parts car without question.

I'm not trying to piss on the parade here, but what are you guys seeing that makes it valuable as a parts car?

-No gauges, no buckets, no console or floor shifter
-Undercarriage is most likely trashed, the lower door seams as well.
-14" Rallies, probably rusted too. If not it's still hard to sell 14's for anything and the tires are going to be shot.
-Engine/trans are probably not usable. A 305 and metric 200 trans is a hard sale even in working condition.
-No desirable rear end

So what's left, maybe bumpers, maybe a GP bar or jounce bars, tail light lenses, glass, header, grille, hood, trunk lid....fenders if they aren't junk? IMO you might break even and your basically not paying yourself for doing the work.

I don't know how everyone else is doing with selling parts, but it's pretty stagnant where I am. Add the fact that it's the holiday season and people aren't buying a lot of used parts right now. I've parted a lot of cars in the past and you rarely make any decent money unless you find something special for an outstanding price. GP parts are harder to move than everything else too.

you make some good points but those GP's are not as plentiful as other G bodies. Since he said he has a place to park it and if he's considering a GP in the future it could work out to a good parts car...
