I'm not trying to piss on the parade here, but what are you guys seeing that makes it valuable as a parts car?

-No gauges, no buckets, no console or floor shifter
-Undercarriage is most likely trashed, the lower door seams as well.
-14" Rallies, probably rusted too. If not it's still hard to sell 14's for anything and the tires are going to be shot.
-Engine/trans are probably not usable. A 305 and metric 200 trans is a hard sale even in working condition.
-No desirable rear end

So what's left, maybe bumpers, maybe a GP bar or jounce bars, tail light lenses, glass, header, grille, hood, trunk lid....fenders if they aren't junk? IMO you might break even and your basically not paying yourself for doing the work.

I don't know how everyone else is doing with selling parts, but it's pretty stagnant where I am. Add the fact that it's the holiday season and people aren't buying a lot of used parts right now. I've parted a lot of cars in the past and you rarely make any decent money unless you find something special for an outstanding price. GP parts are harder to move than everything else too.

agree i have 2 cutlass im trying to part out and there in better shape then that car. i have had no lick

you make some good points but those GP's are not as plentiful as other G bodies. Since he said he has a place to park it and if he's considering a GP in the future it could work out to a good parts car...

I guess it would be a different story if you need an extra car for parts. My concern would be if there's $400 worth of good parts there, but I'm a cheap-*ss anyway!

parts are always more expensive if your buying but no one wants the pay that price when your selling.. :?
