Do the math this way. What is the high end price you could get if you sell it? 7-9 K
What could you pick up the Caddy for? 13-22 K (in the 50-60 K mile range)
Take the difference in money you would pay to get the caddy and get a loan and build a street motor for it and buy a good alarm system. Life is too short to worry about what could happen if it's stolen.
That's my 2 cents.
