This Guy is Dedicated or Maybe Medicated

Steve, thank you so much for posting this!!! You made my day!

I'm not gonna lie, when I was in my early twenties, I probably would have chased them too. And I'm pretty sure that if I rolled my car on its side and then it rolled back on its wheels while chasing them, I would have kept going just like this guy did because I'd be really pissed then!

This video reminds me of some of the stupid things one of my best friends and I did back in the day. We were idiots but I think we were better drivers than this guy. I outran a state trooper on a wet road in a '96 Impala SS one time and this guy couldn't catch an Accord with a BMW 7 series. Lol.

I wonder why the Honda driver was so intent on getting away? Must have had an outstanding warrant or something. It didn't look like the Honda had any real damage to the front which would make me think that the BMW probably didn't get much damage from the collision either. No insurance maybe? Who knows?

It's amazing that neither car caused any more accidents on their rampage through the busy roads. I'd love to know what the outcome of this was. Did the cops catch the Honda driver? Did the BMW driver receive any consequences for his crazy driving and nearly causing a plethora of other accidents?

If you're the BMW driver, what the F*** do you tell the cops when they show up? Lol

As the passenger was calling 911 to report what was basically a fender bender and leaving the scene of an accident I bet the rest of the phones at the 911 dispatch were blowing up with calls about a crazy guy in a BMW running amuck! Lol

My favorite quote from the video: "I flipped my car trying to get her!"

That was a pretty light hit on the BMW and he was rolling so I doubt there was any damage more than maybe a scuff on the paint. The other thing is the guy cannot drive, a BMW has pretty good manners and it looks like he didn't even try to turn into the spin, he just looped the car once the back end started to go around. He was just looking for 5 minutes of glory but the big mistake he made was with his dash cam. The dash cam shows he got hit in the back but does not show who hit him. It's only his word that it was the Honda. The Honda driver, if caught, could claim he/she was just trying to lose a crazy guy in a BMW and his/her evidence to that is the dash cam video.

Someone rear ended me and drove off but I just followed them, got the license plate, and called the cops. They eventually found her and ticketed her. These dudes are dangerous psychopaths.

I know that area, Woodbury, NJ. There are some pretty aggressive drivers around there, and generally NJ cops don't do much against hit and run drivers unless they had hit a ped. Couple of years ago, my mother's car was hit, she pulled over but the driver fled. My mom got the plate number and reported it instead of chasing. Later she got a summons for traffic court as a witness. They called in the other car's owner who denied everything, and the case was dropped faster than a hot iron. They never even brother to call my mom so the other driver got off free, not even points.

Still, chasing after someone like that is stupid. The guy almost killed himself going after thd driver, plus its not good to scare the other car to speed and risk more accidents. Plus you don't know if the other driver could have a weapon. Two wrongs don't make a right.

As soon as he had a plate number he should have called it a day.

The same thing that happened to your mom happened to my dad. A drunk driver sideswiped about 10 cars including his that were parallel parked on my old street. When the driver did that, he broke his own tie rod, and his tire started dragging. Police followed the tire mark all the way to the guy's driveway and saw the wrecked car sitting there. They knocked on the door and asked him if he did it, he denied that he did, and the investigation never went any further.

Also you are absolutely right about confronting another driver. You have no idea what kind of lunatic you might be dealing with. They apparently had no issue taking off from the scene of a crash, who knows what other laws they don't care about?
