heres what i am looking at

this is the driver side it is missing here

passenger side, its not missing

So obviously it is missing on the driver side, but if that was the only problem wouldnt it seem to dip more when i turn one way and not as much the other way since only one side is missing?

I have a brand new GM set. I only sell in pairs...new rubber grommets.
I'll verify my stock count is right.

Just a tip for getting the other one out and putting the new ones in (I changed mine out last fall coz they were getting old and rusty/nasty...) Might as well swap the other one out, because if one went... well...

If you've got access to an air ratchet (not an impact) then use it, it'll be your best friend, especially putting them in. Getting them off isn't that bad, be prepared to be patient, and have WD-40 on hand.

Getting them back in is a little trickier, you'll probably have to loosen the bolts that hold the sway bar on the frame (to rotate the bar up/down), and have a chunk of wood or something to pry the sway bar against the frame (in/out), so you can line it all back up again. The sway bar is under a bit of tension/compression (however you want to look at it) at the ends and you'll have to fight it.

Good luck!

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!!!!! I told you from the sounds of it that you had a broken or missing stabalizer link!! your problem is solved!!! now replace them both as a pair,,i recommend polyurethane ones,,,they are stronger!!! Everbody else said springs or shocks, i say look at the least expensive things first,,,it's a process of elimination.

It will affect both directions about the same because there is nothing to hold it from rotating when the car goes around the corner. Think of it like a wrench turning a bolt. If the threads it is engaged in are not held stable, the bolt will just turn without resistance. Think of the center of the bar as a socket extension, the socket wrench as the end of the bar, and the wrench holding the nut as the other end of the bar and you can see why it affects it that way.

Anyhow, I got mine from Energy Suspension at a local speed shop and paid $20-30 for both. They have better hardware and bushings than stock. In fact, I used a set for a Chevelle on my Nissan truck since it broke several sets of OEM parts.

yeah i know thanks, i probably would have just went ahead and had the springs replaced. But i called a shop today and asked what they would charge to replace springs all around and do an alignment and they said $1,060!! That does not sound right to me. Anyway, will Autozone or somewhere like that have a stabilizer link kit to fit or will i have to order it online?
