On the front of a gbody generally a 235/60/15, on the back I have seen 275/50s and used 275/60s on a 7" rim but especially with the 50 series I think that is already beyond the safe rated width.

Don't know what you have on it now but yes 235/60s all the way around will help handling. I have been very impressed with the Firestone Firehawk Indys. New poly end links are inexpensive and normally help a lot as most are trashed by now. Good shocks will help a lot Eibach or Billenstein but then you are spending some money. Money well spent if you have it though. Front and rear sway bars from a 442/GN/Ttype/MCSS or f-41 equiped g-body will also help a lot. Sometimes you can find these at a salvage yard or in the for sale sections of gbody related forums and normally pretty reasonably at that.

I bet you will like the new springs. fwiw I have two 15x7 Olds ralleys that I would sell for $50 plus the ride. If you have the 14x6 ralleys that are not chrome you could paint them to match as they are made from the same center section. You could run a 215/70/14 or 25.9 tall up front and a 235/60/15 26.0 tall in the rear. Or if you want something beefier & taller you could run a 225/70/14 26.5" tall on front with a 245/60/15 26.6 tall in the rear. Both sets would match the first set keeps your factory gearing so your speedo etc is correct.

PS If you like her to have a little rake without airshocks or airbags and you want wider tires you could also use a 245/60/14 25.6 tall in the front and a 245/60/15 in the rear. www.tirerack.com has good prices specs and pics of these sizes in the Firestone Firehawk Indys and BFGs online.

I don't know of any 235s for a 14 wheel. The 245/60/14s fit the 14x6 wheel but its at the safe limit of the rim. You would not want to run them at low pressure and then hit a hard turn at speed. Naturally that is true of any tire but is more risk with a wider tire on a narrow rim. Ideally keep them at 35psi for safest and best results.

I don't have any pics of the wheels but you can see what they look like in dan2286's album. In his pic the car is jacked up and he has crappy looking white walls on it. The pic is small but if you take it all the way out to the max size you get a decent look at the wheels. His are 14s mine look the same only are 15s. You have chevy ralleys from a Monte Carlo or ElCamino so they would not match the Olds ralleys as far as looks.

I have seen 245 50 15's on a set of 15x7 Olds wheels on a 1983 Hurst/Olds 15th anniversary car.
