TIRED Of Dealing With People Selling Items

I see both sides of this. I tried to buy a T top regal v8 with a "T" package about a year ago in Chicago, the guy was waiting on a title to get shipped in from South Carolina which told me that he was turning a quick buck off of it but whatever. I really wanted this car, the build that I am doing now to a GN would have been perfect for it since I was ls swapping it. It was a T car but not a turbo car and would not upset the turbo folks. The car was burgundy with gray interior and T tops and to have the T package made this super rare, I really wanted it. I told him I would give deposit on it but would not come for it with the cash until he had the title in his hands. The guy got royally ticked at me and backed out of the deal. I'm sorry but I am not laying down cash without a title, that's a red flag in my book.

On the other hand, I sell allot of g body parts, I have been doing it for over 20 years. Some of the folks I deal with are ridiculous, I have a guy on FB right now that told me he was coming for parts on 4 different occasions and blew me off so I quit responding to him. Next thing I know he is asking people how to get ahold of me on a local G body page, I told him I was not interested in dealing with him and it turned into drama. I have had to hang up on other people calling for parts and then start talking trash about my asking price.

The fact is, there are stupid people everywhere.

I sold the gas tank out of my GP today to good buyer....I have it listed OBO and he asked a few questions. He asked if the sender came with it and I told him it did but I have removed the valve at the on the line. He didn't freak out say it was useless to offer me a low ball amount. He offered the amount I expected to get and he showed up at the scheduled time with money in hand. He was happy about what he saw, he said he looked at a few rusted POS tanks that guys were asking top dollar for. The one I had had no rust on it cause it was treated before I installed it and the sender was altered but basically new. The new baffled tank with new pump that I bought last summer now only cost me $75 out of my pocket... 🙂

I have a Gbody exhaust for sale on FM and I had a guy Yesterday message me asking if the exhaust would fit a G8.
I told him a G8 is actually not a "G" body and it would not fit.

I had a snowblower for sale on cl. It’s a 9.5hp 29” cut machine, asking $200. This thing was $1300 new and it still runs great, starts first pull, and looks great. I’ve been beaten up with stupid questions. I had the last guy I felt with ask me the service history on it. I decided to give it to a coworker for $50 to get it out of my garage rather than deal with idiots.

I have a ad on Facebook messenger for a 1978 GP body only. I have had people ask how the interior is and what kind of shape the frame is in.

If that's how you have it listed as "1978 GP body" I can understand why they might think it's a roller. Sometimes it's inferred. But if it's listed as body shell only, no frame, etc., that's different.
