trans problem 700r4

Everything I've read says that the TCC lockup and 4th/OD are independent of one another. I've read that the trans fluid may be low, tv cable may need adjustment, servo may need replacement.

I was just reading through this because Im planning a 700r4 swap and in my years I cant tell you how many problems Ive chased to find out it was stupid little thing I took for granted and didnt recheck, With that said are you sure your linkage is set up right and the trans is actually in OD and not in 3rd?

Sounds like someone swapped in a 700r4 and didn't do anything with the torque converter lockup. Can you trace where the wiring (if any) goes coming out of the left side of the trans with the 4 pin connector?
