Is the trans tunnel shifter hump and the plastic hump cover needed or necessary for a Super T10 install ? If so, what happens with the carpet with these two installed ?

A T10 is not a direct fit for our cars. The shifter mount needs to be modified in order to fit the stock location with a bench or retaining the console. Here's the link for it.

The plastic hump is a trim cover that covers the metal hump & hole in the carpet.
