I'm thinking about buying the transmission lines unbent and doing it myself. Would this be worth the $20 i might save by doing it?

all depends on your talents and if it's a show car...

Straight to the point, no messing ... well said sir, well said

Patience is key

Never done it before, so I would have to buy the tools. It won't be a show car but I have an ND winter to get it right. 😀

It just takes a simple tubing bender. My favorite style is the pliers type. There are a few different styles of benders, just have to find one that works best with you. I would say the plier style ones are geared more toward the beginner bender

it's always good to learn something new and the $20 you save can go towards the tool... 🙂

I can't remember exactly what length you need but I believe it was 5/16" x 60" get the poly armour line from NAPA. It has a nice coating to it and doesn't rust over (they claim it is no-kink, but it can be kinked 😳 ) BK #813-5471 - $8.39

tubing bender part BK #776-9219 - $14.99

thanks guys can that tool flare the pipe or do i have to put a kit together myself?

to make a flare you need another tool. you will also have to make a double flare at the end after you cut it to exact length. put the nut on first, i always forget that part. :blam:

I think the line that Ritter suggested is pre-made line with the fittings and flare and just has to be bent
