Trouble installing UMI triangular brace

IMO only a notation should be on the instructions about possibly having to tap the holes. The reason being is that some who want to keep their car original would want to tap it a metric thread and use metric bolts. Others would rather not buy the expensive metric bolts and go with an SAE tap and bolts.
"Keep it original". "The guy tried to tell me the whole car was factory original but I wasn't about to let him slip those SAE tapped holes for an optional frame brace past me. Told the guy guy to %$&* off."

What a ridiculous notion.

there are some of us whose cars are not even close to being original so the cost of keeping it metric is not worth it. Metric bolts in Canada are at least 3 times the cost of an SAE bolt.

I guess all I meant was who the hell cares/would notice anyways? Most folks have both their metric and SAE wrenches/sockets on them at any given time. In my eyes, people who go to that level of detail to keep their car "original" are lunatics.
