Last year I had bought some really nice condition Monte Carlo SS wheels off an '86, but I have grown tired of people asking if my car is a Monte. So I decided to make a change. I traded the Monte rims for a set of staggered (15x8 rear 15x7 front) American racing Outlaw 1 wheels that have been refinished. They are in almost flawless condition. I am not sure I like the way they look on cutlasses, but I may give them a try. I also picked up 2 Corvette rallys in need of sandblasting and paint for $50 with a decent pair of 255/60-15 tires. My dad also had a pair of turbine wheels that he's had forever that he gave me AND I got 3 cutlass rallys (14") and one buick chrome rally (14") from a early eighties regal... So I have a few options, and I think I know what route I want to go but I want opinions. I am not a purist, so I can go whatever way I want really.

These are my Outlaws:

this is what the Outlaws look like on a Cutlass:

These are the Turbine wheels I got from my dad:

and on the car:

And what I really want to go for:

I want to run a 255/60-15 in the rear to fill up my fenderwell, and I may drop the front an inch and run a 215/60-15 or a 235/60-15 in the front.

Any thoughts? What I think I will do for now is run the Outlaws with the 255/60-15 in the rear, throw my 216/65-15 on the front for now, and clean up and paint the rallys I have and keep looking for 2 more so I can have all four set and put all new tires on when I get the rallys set.

Kind of liking the turbine look...'I have always liked that wheel style
I think they look good on 80's car and trucks too- The problem is finding a match to the pair I have- They have no manufacturer stamped in them- I found some similar ones local to me but $300 for 2 wheels? I would rather get Rallyes, paint them black, and only run center caps and no trim rings...

I'm still undecided on color for the car as well... Not sure if I want to go with a medium olive metallic or two tone gray and white or black and silver.

Of the choices, I prefer the outlaws. the pic you have of the car with the outlaws on it are a bit more polished and shiny than what you currently have................I think if you put some elbow grease on them bad-boys, theyd look good!

I like the vette rallies, that's what are going on my Buick when I get it painted. Outlaws look great on G bodies, I personally dislike the turbine wheels because I think they look like incorrect knockoff Dukes of Hazzard General Lee wheels.

If you weren't so far, I have a nice set of black olds rallies with trim rings and center caps I'd give you a deal on. I don't know how shipping would go over though.

You asked for opinions...Of the rims you showed, they're all good, but the turbines unfortunately look like they belong on a Buick, and of course the Rallyes look like they belong on a Chevy. The Outlaws don't look bad, but they're kind of...I don't know, on a street car, they're boy-racer. I'm with William, SSIIs all the way. Best steel wheel design ever. Just my opinion.

I'm partial to the vette rally wheels. Mine are on a buick. 1 5x7 front 215/65/15 rear are 15x8 car sits on Hotchkis lowering springs 255/60/15
