I think I'm going to have to pass on the turbobuick chinese headers sold on E-bay. Here's why ... I don't know what downpipe works with them. They could be the nicest headers on the planet, but if you have to buy a new downpipe -- what downpipe exactly??? -- then they're no bargain.

But, if I needed headers, I wouldn't want to have to buy a downpipe, too. I just thought if I needed headers in the future, I'd be all ready to go with these Chinese headers, but that's not the case. :(

So let's break this down for the non-TR owners at home:
1. Super high dollar "race headers" by TA Performance (10% of the purchase price of your car) - $1200;
2. High dollar SE or KB stock-style (hand-fitted by a blind man in Merica) - $700-850;
3. Chinese headers - $200 (clearly crap because China); and
4. Status Quo (cracked stock junk that was MIG welded by a drunk line worker in Alabama 30 years ago) - $100 every time you need them repaired.

Options 1, 2 and 3 have off the shelf downpipe options at what... $400-600 a pop? Or you can build your own for about half that to fit the Chinese units using the flanges above and a 3" J-bend off eBay.

Plus, all of the headers for Turbo Buicks are pretty much trash: https://turbobuick.com/threads/ta-performance-headers-vs-kb-headers.433436

Me? I'd buy a bunch of cost effective parts and engineer myself a solution I could hold myself accountable for - and not rely on "vendors" to help me finger bang my wallet into submission.

Even if you couldn't make your own just about any muffler shop could.

Im in contact with Jason now about ordering a new pulley set, I will ask him if his downpipes work with the KB style headers and report back.

RJC pipe will not work with those headers.
