Guys, in my Malibu if I switch my turn signal to my right the switch latches until it released by steering wheel. But if I switch it to the left it won't latch unless I give it a firm tug. Do I need to change the switch in this situation? Or can it be fixed...

you'll need these...easy to change and a common problem

It'll take a few hours if you've never done it. You might need a steering wheel puller, and it'll help to have an impact for the wheel nut but it shouldn't be necessary. Keep track of all the nuts bolts and screws.

Those GM columns from that era were all very similar and common. Do a google search for turn signal switch replacement. I'm sure you can find a youtube video to show you how to do it. You don't need to replace your turn signal switch but that search will get you a video that will get you there.
