Hey guys whats up? Sorry its been so long since ive been on ive had computer issues. I took the girl out yesterday for the first time since october and noticed somthing. When i turn on my left signal light all my brake lights flash. I noticed first when i steped on the brakes with it on they stop flashing then i let off and all brake lights flash again. Now other than the stereo and gauges im pretty sure i havent touched any other wireing. Does anyone have an idea im due for inspection next month any help is appriciated. Thanks guys.

sounds like the turn signal switch is the problem

If it's not that then check your ground wires, they will most likely be near your rear tail lights in the trunk, make sure they make a good clean ground connection.

Ok my brother swears he checked the grounds. So im gonna head to autozone and see if they got that switch in stock. Il let u know how it goes. Thanks man for the advice.

ok i looked at a ground near the lights in the trunk. I sanded off the metal there so it has good contact. The wire has no cracks at all so i dont think it shorts anywhere. I gotta wait for my check to get that switch. Is there any other tips u guys can give me? or any other grounds i didnt see?

Check the dark green and yellow wire on the connector you'll find on your column for current when the brakes are applied. You should have a constant current on both of those wires when the brake is applied and the yellow should be intermittent when the left turn signal is activated and the dark green should be intermittent when the right signal is activated.

You might check your parking light and tail light bulb sockets. A while back, after changing a bulb in my tail light, my parking lights would come on every time I pushed the brake pedal or turned on my right signal. Come to find out (after going through the hassle of replacing the turn signal switch) :blam: one of the contacts from the old bulb I removed had come off and wedged itself down in between the power and ground contacts in the socket.

i checked the dark green wire it flashes. When i do yellow it flashes untill i push the brake pedal then it stays lit.

I checked the bulb sockets too they looked ok but i did succeed in breaking a bulb lol.
