turn signals on dash stay light when im not turning

hello everyone im new to this board i just bought an 1985 buick regal t type and when the parking lights are on both turn signal light are on and before when you had the turn signal on the hvac courtesy light would light and blink with the right turn signal thanks in ahead

Do all your turn signals work properly inside and out? Hazards as well?

Make sure you have good, solid grounds on your lighting harness.

yes outside all lights work as they should have any idea as to where the ground is that i should check because i have very little knowledge of the hack work that might have been done

What was the problem? Was a turn signal light out?

yeah a couple of the bulbs were out

The turn indicator will come on from a bad ground (like I had in the socket itself) or parking filament open in a 1157 bulb.
