U joint straps for a 8.5 diff ???????????

I have a 8.5 that I just sold the diff did not come with u joint straps or bolts.
Are the 7.5 bolts/straps the same as the 8.5 bolts and straps?
Are they just as strong?

The straps are still available from GM by application, i.e. 8.5 or 7.5. I just purchased some not too long ago. ...
