Why did you go with a split on the frame mount instead of a solid piece?
My guess would be to account for misalignment of the frame.

I suspect it's because the front frame rails will still move a bit....we had a hoop and 4 down tubes in our circle track metric and the front frame would still move

Would this or the rear shock brace be recommended first?
I'd say rear. The rear stiffness of these cars are no better than a slice of white bread.

Thanks for the interest. Of course it's great to reinforce anywhere you can. If I had to pick, I'd choose the front if you have nothing up there yet.

Love your companies products. I've had the Grand Prix bar paired with the Jounce bar's on my T-Top GN since it was built. I look forward to adding this to all of my G-Body's!

PS - Anyone who is thinking of asking, if you put down serious power to a G-Body with T-Tops, this is a MUST and you WILL notice a difference!

I installed the rear brace about a year ago on my t-top Cutlass and let me tell you the improvement it made in the way the car rides. The car does not flex as much and t-tops are quieter. I cant wait to get the front bar and install it. UMI parts are the BEST and the people who work there are great as well. If you come to any event they are at stop by and see them .
