Yep, I recall him saying it tops it out around 163mph to keep his average speed on point with one of the classes. I'm sure it's on film too as he usually has a gopro in there.

I believe the younger Bischoff was going to drive this year and was required to compete in the 100 MPH class as a rookie.

You mean I can't just put a taller seat in out of a newer car?
That was a bad wreck but it looks like the integrity of the driver's compartment was not compromised. It's nice to see roll bars that are properly installed and I believe they use a Hans device as well. I have spend many years in circle track racing where wrecks are more common than they should be. A roll over as bad as it looks are easier on a driver if she or he is properly strapped into the seat than a crash into an object where there is a sudden stop. If it was his son driving I hope he had his wits about him to pull his hands off the steering wheel, a steering wheel can be very dangerous in a wreck and can break bones in your hands and wrists.
Glad to hear the reports they are ok. Hope that is accurate. Sorry to see such a cool car come to a bad end.
