I'm not sure what this came off of or what it is for. A co-worker for it for free from a guy. He said it was it came off a 327. I can tell the pan is from a corvette. But the timing cover has me stumped. It is factory and that is a seal by the camshaft timing gear....I think it is for mechanical fuel injection.

Any thoughts?

I would guess it's for a cam spud to drive a mechanical fuel pump. Enderle, Hilborn, etc?

I thought both of those. Fuel pump and water pump for marine. But my research couldnt find anything like this. Both fuel and water pump driven off the timing chain actually bolt to the timing cover. This doesnt. Then I was thinking maybe they were mounted some other way.

probably a old vett with mechanical injection.... hints the vett pan

i just looked up 327 fuel injection timing cover and clicked on image and a lot came up like that but they were aluminum? looks vette like to me also

probably an earlier year then. or different model.
