Says he'll take $400 for the car minus motor and trans. Says the body is super straight and there is no rust on the car.
Only thing I'm not crazy about is the vinyl top. Scared of pulling it off (never done it before) and what might be under it. He also says the interior is all shot, which I'm not really worried about, and the nose is broken which I think I can find without any problems. Oh, and its a column shift car which I'm not crazy about. Somebody talk me into pulling it home!

looks like it's worth 400 bucks to me, do you have an engine/transmission to go back in it?

i say go get it. for 400 i would buy it just to have if i didnt need it i would save it for ater down the road. what do u plan on doing with it?

strip it down first. clean up everything I can, starting with the engine bay. I want to make it my hobby/project for a while. Nothing immediate because of funds, or lack of.

Got a .060 350, don't know what I'd use for a trans. On down the road, Cowl induction hood, draglite wheels, like to put a 9 inch under it. Just wanna make a little street car since I can't race anymore, (too many kids!) This won't be a daily driver by any means. Just a fun car to cruise around in and tinker with.

when he says it needs a front clip is he talking about the frame?

Looks like a nice deal for 400 to me. Hopefully there isn't no major rust under that vinal top.

"Front clip" No, he's talking about the nose. He said someone was holding the hood up with a board and it broke the top of the nose.

I won't be able to look at it until Wednesday after all, but if he is saying there is no rust, I'm hoping the same is true under the vinyl top. Hopefully the car has live most of its life under a garage! We shall see.

What are the odds of pulling that vinyl top off and not seeing any major rust issues? Or are they all rusty under there?
