So i just got my regal back from the upholstery shop and now my doors don't shut correctly. I am a body man by trade and I was very intentional when I aligned my doors so they would open perfectly. they are in such a bind that they pop open when you pull the handle and are also starting to crack around the striker. im pretty upset, talked to the upholstery guy and he says its normal. there are a number of things I am unhappy with on his work so i guess since he wont fix it I'm going have to take him to court. most of the job looks great but its alot of small stuff that is twisting my bolts. ill post some pictures when i can.

Let's see some pics

Not knowing what you actually had done if you had upper door panels made and they were thicker than stock that could cause issues with the door not wanting to close well.

I could go on forever about the things that I don't like. in the pictures it shows how the door panel is hitting the doorjamb how the seat lines don't match up on the inserts, and how my door doesn't shut correctly anymore. Can you believe I paid $4000 for this job....this is why I'm going to need to take him to court. what do you guys think? would you pay that for this?

$4000 you must be joking are you sure that is not peso.
You did not specify what list of work he actually did so did you bring the car to him completely gutted and he supplied the entire interior?

He pulled the entire dash, rebuilt the foam in the seats, and recovered every piece in the car. Not to mention not doing anything I asked. Can you believe this guy, i plan to get back every cent in court plus some.

I think part of the door issue is those push on buttons that appear to be holding on your door panels (which look like they are hitting hard already) which I don't know why you would need since your custom door panels barely differ from the stock versions which all use hidden fasteners.
And I think the upper door panels are too thick also you can't have material rolled over the edge like that and have still close properly.

Did he cover the dash too? It looks like it is pulling away on the passenger side.
