one of the guys in my office went to a yard about 1.5 hrs awayfrom here, and found a 4dr bonneville with a V4. now i knw Gbodys did not come with a V4. has anybody seen something like this? im going down there myself just to see this thing!!! never seen one in person. wonder if it runs?

doubt it. it could be an L4, not a V4

Only V4s I've ever seen in person were in a Saab Sonnet and a snow cat. I believe they were based on the old Ford 2.8 V6.

Ive seen one in an old studebacker.

Hmmm...
I can't wait to see what this turns out to be.
Maybe he looked at a late-model Bonneville GXP with the transverse V8 and got all confused.

In the '60s/'70s Ford (UK) and Ford (Europe) both made v4 engines, Saab used the German one in their 95 and 96 models (not to be confused with 9-5 later models). Lancia also made a narrow angle v4 in the '60s.

I don't know of any other mainstream v4s, anyone else know of any others?.

Roger.

IDK, he confirmed it was a Gbody bonneville. we went to another yard the other day and found a gbody bonneville, and he said it was the same car so.....Ill take pics and post them up when i go.

No such thing as a G-body Bonneville. The Bonneville was built on the big car platform and would be a B-body.

Yup there was, I had one 8)

But I think the Bonny wasn't a gbody until about 1983-84

And, around 1990 GM did put a V4 in some of their cars. If i remember they were kinda like 2 V-twins put together.
