How the **** is normal 10-40 the most expensive?????

Since when is a Synthetic blend cheaper than conventional??????

And Walmart only has 3 of the 10-40 in stock?!?!?!?!?!

what is the difference of the diesel oil, I didn't realize you can use it in a gas engine
Well, Shell Rotella used to have the extra ZDDP for flat tappet cams, but I'm not up on all the ratings. My original 3.8 would put the oil light on coming off the highway. I switched to diesel and it ended that.
Personally, I'd use an additive, regardless.
Turna, have you looked into the Lucas Hot Rod oil?

I've been buying my oil from Amazon for the last year or so (they have 10W40 BTW). Local oil prices are nuts.

My Cutlass has always been fed Delo400 since day 1. My grandpa drove a log truck so that's what he had around. I'll just stick with that until/unless I develop any problems.

All my other stuff has always gotten Valvoline. I snapped this pic inside my daughter's 300k Neon when I replaced the VC gasket a couple weeks ago. Valvoline it's whole life. I'm a believer.

economics, supply and demand plain and simple. the precious invisible hand of the free market at work. fewer cars out there that require 10w-40. you should try finding 20w-50 sometime, now that' s a challenge anymore.
