Did "THEY" remove the hyperlink to the videos as part of the conspiracy too?

GM and Exxon are keeping the cars inefficient on purpose. Some kid on a college campus told me so.

I'm rebuilding my carburetor to get 1000MPG. It runs on unicorn piss.

Umm... was he smoking something sticky and green? Just curious.

lol gm really needs to build a hyper mpg car, not for any reason other than not going bankrupt.
Why would you pay twice as much for a gm car, to get less warrenty and less mpg?
Thats exactly why the big 3 is tanking.

Plus, they put all their research eggs in the light truck basket and failed to engineer innovative normal cars. I mean, Ford made the Focus uglier than it was, the Cobalt looks like a mildly facelifted 1996 Cavalier, and Chrysler makes....no small cars at all. Sorry, but the Caliber does not qualify. Especially when the target is a car like the new Civic.

Then there is the issue of quality and status. Most people look down on domestic cars versus similar imports. Even if they build a vehicle of equal quality, performance, and reliability, they still need to fight the perception problem they made for themselves with cars like the Cavalier. Why it took so long to have small, equal panel gaps on their cars is beyond me. The Koreans had better fit and finish than Detroit by the end of the 90's-and they did not start making cars until the early 80's with the Hyundai Pony! So, to compete, they need not produce a car of equal quality, but a car of better quality and at a lower price with better styling than the competition. How a company that gave us the 1969 Camaro could also give us the Saturn Ion and Pontiac Aztec is beyond me. No more plastic cheese either, a la Pontiac Grand Am.

sucks to see the big two diving. well now it's the big two. isn't the top three GM then Toyota then Ford? but yeah unless they pull some supercar out of their *ss they are gonna fall pretty soon

The unions are part why ford and gm are losing money the union contract won't let them hire temp works so there stuck paying people to sit in the break room. And being union they can not do a different job.If you buy a new gm the workers health care is a bigger chunk of the price then the parts the cars made out of.Ford has 2 plants here ones f250 up other is the old edsel plant that makes explorer both have cut back to one shift a day.

That's why they need to start moving production to right to work states. That way, they are not bound by union contracts and they can gradually eliminate union labor.
