I only have the dummy light. When looking at the cables and connections they all look fine.

just my 2 cents again but he said in the original post he replaced the battery like three times and alternator twice, that really only leaves the wiring and connections in between unless by getting a new alternator you mean you sourced it from a junkyard or something.could also have a bad connector that plugs into the alternator itself,or a drain somewhere along the lines, pinched power wire what have you.i dont think i asked or you stated but whats your idle?if i remember right those older style alternators charge while idling for the most part and if your idle is too low might not be charging well

did you check to see if there is a draw on the battery when the car is parked?

I used a multi meter yesterday to check the fuses they wer all good

Try using a jumper wire from Pin 1 on the 2 pin connector on the Alternator to the postitve post. It should begin to excite the Alternator and start charging. Then remove the jumper - it may or may not keep charging. This should prove the alternator is functioning correctly.

You can run a wire from Key On power to the Pin 1 with a big diode or resistor in the middle to make your own excite circuit or you can always put a 1-wire self-exciting Alternator in and call it a day.
