My manes Eric, 41 and live in Oklahoma City I've always been a Pontiac fan (own a 71 lemans convertible, 79 trans am and still have my first car a 76 lemans) Plan for this one was just to have a daily driver but..... I've been looking into a 9" rear, gotta lower it. I found some 18s than I'm putting on next week. I'd like to replace the 305 with one of my 400s or build my 455 for true poncho power. But I've been thinking about a LS swap with a 6 speed. I want to replace the nose with a 80-81 lemans for a sportier look and either engine I go with, I plan to add a shaker I'm kinda leaning to a pro touring car and want to take it in the Hot Rod power tour. (First pic isn't mine but one I found on the net. I'm leaning towards a charcoal gray and a dark red two tone)

Welcome aboard Eric.
I think you found yourself a really nice wagon. Even Brian has some regrets about selling it.
Sounds like you have some cool plans and ideas in store for it.
I like the Lemans header panel on it. I think it would be an enhancement.
Bonnewagon (Mark) had done it to his Bonneville wagon. It also requires swapping the hood out as well.
Thank you for your introduction and posting pics.
Good luck with it. It sounds like it went to a good home.

The guy that owns that Leman Safari wagon is a member of the forum....just hasn't been on in quite some time.

Full update. Bought the car last Dec and have been toying around with it until lately. Finally decided to make it a nice daily driver so the last month I put a new engine and trans (so i could actually go uphill and keep up on the interstate). Details below.

stock motor 200cid and th200

New motor
GM Performance 350cid 290hp crate
edelbrock air gap intake
Holley 670 street avenger carb
Hooker headers
solid motor mounts

New TCI TH350 Street Rodder Trans and torque converter
New U Joints
Same rear 2.23 rear gears (because I drive on the hwy a great deal)

New single (not dual) exhaust to a flowmaster 40

and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember right now.
