This isn't a G wagon, but looks cool. I had to shred paper at a residence today( do it alot) and the owner had this '67 Bel Air wagon in his garage!
All original except the wheels with a 283(soon to be a 4 bolt 350), factory A/C but manual steering, brakes, windows and locks. I even got to sit in it which was cool.

Full update. Bought the car last Dec and have been toying around with it until lately. Finally decided to make it a nice daily driver so the last month I put a new engine and trans (so i could actually go uphill and keep up on the interstate). Details below.

stock motor 200cid and th200

New motor
GM Performance 350cid 290hp crate
edelbrock air gap intake
Holley 670 street avenger carb
Hooker headers
solid motor mounts

New TCI TH350 Street Rodder Trans and torque converter
New U Joints
Same rear 2.23 rear gears (because I drive on the hwy a great deal)

New single (not dual) exhaust to a flowmaster 40

and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember right now.

Scott,
That is a cool looking ride. I'd leave it as is. I recently saw a '66 Belair wagon with a decent body, dead paint and rally wheels. It was for sale too. I was tempted but walked away.

Jack, that's exactly what I told the guy. It did have a few rust spots that were really rough and all the way through, but most of it was surface stuff. The patina looked good, the brightwork looked exceptional for its age, the interior had some wear spots, but hell its 50 years old!!!!!
The steering wheel was darn near mint, and even the rear window still cranked up and down!
I'd love to have one someday. A good friend just sold his '62 Biscayne wagon recently and it was badass!

Scott,
I'd love to get a hold of a '61-'62 Chevy wagon. I always thought they were a cool body style.
Maybe my next car. The longer you put off getting one the pricier they get.
What was your buddy's '62 Biscayne like? I like the Biscaynes....they were a little more stripped down than the Belair and Impalas.

Jack, the '62 was a sweet wagon, I don't think I have any pics of it though. Yeah, it was stripped down on options, but he added power steering and a 350 swap. It was a medium blue color, and had moon caps with whitewalls. It was surfer themed with the interior and had surfboards on the rack.

Scott,
That's a cool looking wagon. Very old school with the wide whites and chrome reversed wheels with spider caps. The color is sweet, too. I like the surfer theme as well. The interior is pretty spartan.
Thanks for the link..
