My Dad restored this 1965 Porsche, 1980 to 85, He is fairly sure the previous owner was Paul Newman.

One of dad's trucks was a 75 C60 with a 9000 lb. front axle and an 18,500 lb. rear axle. It had a 366 cu. in. BBC and Clark 5 speed with an Eaton 2 speed rear. It had a 16' foot refrigerated box with a Todco lift gate. It was so clean, we nicknamed it 'The Cadillac ".

Ed,
Is the 356 still in your family? .
No, my Dad decided he is not Porsche material and sold it shortly after restoration to a local fellow who enjoys the hell out of it.

Greetings Guys; This is a fun thread. But I forgot to post the present day pictures yesterday. We all seemed to of aged some over the years. So if ya can tolerate one more picture of the Bronze Brick & my ole' work car. Sometimes I feel sorry for you guys that have to drive a truck for work, but someone has to do it. Take care, Ole' Bob.
Ps: I also included one of Pa & his Caddy taken around 1973.

That's too bad. The reason I ask is because I own a '64 C coupe. I also noticed the California tag. Does he. or did he live in California?
They are fun cars to drive.

He imported the Porsche from California and the tag came with it. He actually enjoyed doing the work more than the actual driving because twice he scraped against the eavestrough down pipe backing out of the garage. Most of his working life was with the VW organization at the Canadian Head Office and 20 years as General Service Manager at a Toronto Dealership.

Nice car. Thanks for sharing the pics and a little history. So your dad has history working for VW...cool.
Here's mine. It's not perfect, but it's a driver.
