I'm going to have 15 years into my sentece come May, but I do over 3 years on "work release". Who said combat tours are that bad? I spent my most of my first year & a half on my first tour. Maybe I'm due for another "work release".

You know my first Son-in-Law did several tours in Iraq. My daughter was giving him sh*t and he ended up re-upping over there and she divorced him. So he chose COMBAT over my daughter. I still like him the best!
My in laws were not invited to our wedding .My dad walked my wife down the aisle.
Family can be tough. We both have a crazy Sister, we both avoid. My MIL is ok, everything changed after my FIL died and she remarried, much less time for us. My Mom was also worse after Dad died. Most people only buy cars out of necessity, hence the amount of turd crossovers over flowing the proverbial bowl that is the car market🙂.
30 years ago My In laws came to visit, Sara's mom kept picking at her and on the elevator ride up to their hotel room I lost it. I told her that "If she didn't like the way we lived our lives. She could get back on her broomstick and go back where she came from". She didn't speak to me for well over a year. A few years later Sara's Dad told me he thought it was great, Because no one had ever stood up to her before. He said he was proud of me for defending the woman I married. Sara's mom always treated me with respect after that. Nancy passed in 2008 and I actually miss her.
I am kind of an *******. I speak my mind, and don't play games. Everyone that knows me knows were I stand on things. I will help about anyone though. Some people do not know how to take me some people do. If someone doesn't like it, tuff shitt I don't really care. Hence I don't have problems with peoples crap, or a lot of friends. She will get over it or she won't. Tell her exactly where you stand and be proud of that!
