Had the same problem with my 83 regal after a engine swap, the drive shaft is rubbing on the transmission hump. Take the pads off of each end of the transmission crossmember then try and find a shorter transmission mount from your local trans shop. http://youtu.be/F3SO4lP0Tpg, viewtopic.php?f=24&t=32114.

Okay thanks for the info I'll have to take a look at it I have been busy with schools and work all weekend and all next week but it doesn't make the noise when I do a burnout lol

My father-in-laws vega made a similar sound, we removed the rear diff cover to find the pinon gear missing some teeth. It was also weird that his did not do it all the time either but it got worse real quick. Hopefully you don't have the same problem!!
Ya hopefully not I have notice it does it more when I go around a turn slow then give it a little bit of gas but if I punch it it doesn't do it
havent had anytime to look at it this weekend yet been suoer busy but i dont know if this matters but it doesnt make the noise when i go in reverse or when i take off real quick i only notice it when i take off slow dont know if that helps i know you guys can only tell me so much without me looking at it though.
My old trans made that noise sometimes....turned out it was the torque converter bolts had gotten loose.
