What a Nightmare

I can't tell you how many distracted idiots that I see on an almost daily basis. You can generally tell...they drift out of their lane...drive too slow..etc.

On that note....it sucks what happened to that nice model A coupe. The stupid b*tch thought she could get away...what the hell was she thinking?? People like that, you just want to tear their lungs out.

Sucks big time and she was definitely in the wrong, but who parks a Model A ON THE STREET and goes to work?

You gotta use your head if something is important to you, cause the average idiot has no concern for the property of others.

I was asking myself the same question when I read that, my insurance is pretty strict about leaving my car unattended.

Brian,
I have to agree with you. I would be hesitant to park any nice special interest car on the street unattended. To me it's like tempting fate. Especially with people out there that have no regard for anyone's property or possessions.

At the risk of sounding like a total dick (never stopped me before), it's not a big deal. Model As aren't that rare or valuable and if you look close at the pics you can see that this one wasn't a perfect museum restoration to begin with. All the parts needed to repair it are readily available either new or used. When they get done it'll be much nicer than before. No one got hurt and they caught the hit and run driver. Plus father and son get more garage time together. All in all not the worst situation to be in.

Granted, the car did look like an amateur restoration, but having something like this happen is still a traumatic shock. I do agree that Model A's were pretty abundant.,,,and parts are readily available.
It gives them a second chance to do the car better than before and have quality father and son time together. All in all, It is fortunate that no one was hurt.

It sucks, I know, I've been there. At least they'll probably get paid out by insurance. I wasn't so lucky...and I got hurt...and sued...and mine still isn't back on the read...after 18.5 years.

Yeah, I remember when you were getting your truck back together again. That took a hard hit. I'm glad that you're still with us to talk about it...👍
In fact, the Model A thread reminded me of your truck.
