what am I doing wrong

Hey folks in g-body land, I have a problem you see im planting a lt1 into my gp and I placed the engine mounts that I got with the motor all the way to the front of the frame mounting holes but when I go to drop the engine in they didnt seem to line up correctly the passenger side I got in but thr drivers side of the motor is not going in. I tried moving the transmission tail and all but its not lining up can soneone tell me what in doing wrong or do I need a certain mount?

You just need to swap out the pasenger side clamshell with a 305 or 350 car one . The stock B body passenger side mount is different and mounted further back. So you need a regular car clamshell and you need to mount it further foward you need to remove the air tube bolt on passneger side you need that bung to bolt in the diffrent clamshell. Hope that helps and not to confusing.
