What did you do to your g-body today 2025 Edition!

Figured since it’s been almost 2 yrs since the last oil change I might as well.. forgot how much it sucks to change it, since the oil filter has been relocated and the 3qt accusump. Then after that debacle it finally got a bath. Before I get hammered about not changing it for 2 yrs it has been sitting in the corner of the shop for about a year. 🙄

I swapped out my water temp gauge yesterday. The old one was fluctuating between 160* and 240*. After changing the thermostat is when I realized the water temp gauge was the problem. I went with an electric gauge this time instead of a mechanical. It was cheaper but still expensive.

I have that exact aame gauge in my Camaro and I don't like the sweep. It's also tough to gauge where you are between 210 and 250 which is where it lives in the summer. If 180 is your sweet spot then you're good to go. My cooling system can't keep up that well in the dead of summer on a track chasing other cars.

well, the '65 Impala SS convertible in my garage has been sitting on wheel dollies for a "few" years. and the rebuilt 283 SBC from the '67 Impala convertible with about 30 minutes of run time has been on the engine stand for about......28 yrs? yep, that sounds right!
