Appleton Estate? Been a long minute since any of that passed my lips on the way home. Nice straight up or over a cube or two. If you plan on contaminating it with mix, the Aussies used to make something called "Jolt" cola. Double caffeine and triple sugar. Couple of those and you were up for the duration and then some. As for the Scotch, straight up. First person to suggest ice or mix gets boiled in a cardboard box of Mogen David Red!

Yeah my buddy and I drink what we call “double doubles”
4 oz Appleton’s in a tall highball glass 4 ice cubes and the rest is Pepsi or coke
Some guys drink it straight , not for me
The double doubles will have you texting old girl friends by the 3-4 drink lol

Sounds like you need to slowly work your way up to better quality scotch.

Plenty of the low end stuff tastes horrible.... this coming from a guy who drinks 192 proof on occasion, or the 196 proof outside the country.

That said, a good scotch, neat, sipped to relax cam be a great way to end the day. And there's a bigger variation on flavors than you find with other drinks.

Work your way up, a glass here and there. It's a taste you learn.

Whisky with a pedigree inscribed on the bottle?? Bet that's worth a chuckle or two between the lads at their fires back in the hollers and glens.

Revered Whisky?? You don't worship the stuff, you drink it. Even the bible has an admonition in it about avoiding false gods and idols.

Decided I needed a stout tonight and found my bad self a nitro sampler pack with an old favorite.



Had another delicious stout on the way, but this piece of work really grabbed my attention.



It's an 8.9% beer ice cream Sunday! Good thing I didn't commit to a night of these or else my drawers and bed sheets would be in even bigger trouble.
