What Car Do You Love to Hate?

i hate:
all this overloaded cars, pumped thousands of bucks in this cars, with enough horsepower and all shiny.
why ?
the most of this cars are posers and trailer-queens.
build only with bucks, not with heart and love :wink:

I also own a Prius; but wait!! Listen to my reasons...

1. It does get killer gas mileage. My TDI Jetta did a little better on the highway but my Prius does really well in town. Mid 50's regularly.

2. I have the old body style. Mine is a 2003. The first ones from 01-03 usually aren't even recognizable as a green machine. They are somewhat stealthy, more like a weird corolla or something.

3. My wife is from Europe and she didn't drive much before we came here. She needed a small car to get used to the roads here. My Toronado was a little overwhelming for her, much less the Cutlass or Firebird!

4. I also hate most other Prius drivers. I am not an environmentalist whacko. I have met more than a few that drive the 04-present Prius. I have stated on more than one occasion that I don't drive this car to be "green," I drive it to save green (dollars!)

My wife wants to bump up to a newer Prius now and I have already put the cabosh on that. Too many green weenies in them. If I take the hybrid emblem off nobody even knows what I'm driving. Our next bump will most likely be a Passat TDI for the extra room.

Or, maybe I'll build another Cutlass Diesel, but a 4-door this time!!

What car is so unrelentingly vile to you that you despise it with every fiber of your being? Is it a Prius? Yugo? or some odd car from a far away land that was never sold here like a Saschrang Trebant 601? I personally hate the Prius the most. I despise Prius drivers and their politics too. I also have a particular hatred for the Dodge Ram Quad Cab and the blithering idiots who drive them too, just not as much as for the Prius. Anyhow, feel free to voice your disgust here.

i can think of LOTS...but i have to say....some RAGE lies within the "family"...the piss-poor effort of the "Monte Lumina"!!! how could you possibly piss all over the MONTE CARLO name by rebadging a boring Lumina??? oh sorry, and making it a coupe. Bad chevy! that was a big flub.
Lazy? Lame? come on. thank GOD the monte re-do was sexy. and even hotter in the 07 SS i own. Whew!

i'd have to think about the others. so many ugly little bombs out there.

Ok, I admit it. If someone gave me a hybrid for cheap I would drive it into the ground, maintaining it properly until it died in a year or two. I will reserve judgement until I know what you paid for the hippiemobile.

I also agree that GM's cars of the last 10-15 years are to be hated, but I simply ignore them. To me, they are all just something you would kick the crap out of as a rental on vacation but not something any intelligent person would actually purchase. Poor fit and finish, Playskool controls and switches and the worst possible plastics on the interior all make for cars that are a joke to most of the world. Plus, they have a reputation for being unreliable and they came with America's worst warranty when new ( 3 yr/36k miles).

Oh, for a Hybrid that doesn't look the part, my vote is for the Civic. Chnage the wheels and peel off the badge and no one will know the difference!

Well driving not to be green is cool then. I love the environment but when people get smug about it then they are no longer a human being but a puppet of Al Gore. And i would not get a hybrid b/c if it breaks i'm off to the dealer. My dad has a Vibe as a work car and it gets 42 mpg and parts are GM and Toyota so it's cheap.
Don't mind hybrids, just mind those that have to tell everyone all the time. I always fly by then for the fun of it. lol!

Oh and i hate neons with "sport packages" and Chrysler mini vans.

I dig fuel economy, but because it saves me money, not because I think I am in any way saving the planet. I had the world's ugliest 1995 Nissan Sentra 4 door ( and that's saying something as they were ugly when new!) but I loved the 55mpg I got on the highway with the cruise on at 80mph. It was an automatic and slow. Not V6 G body slow, but still slow nonetheless. I kinda miss it now as it was fun to rally it on dirt roads and practicing E-brake turns!

Dude, your Monte has sidepipes. That would cancel out you driving a Prius by far..lol.

Actually its not really the cars themselves that I hate. Well except the Prius, but its really the owners that attach the stigma's to them.

For example, I love a corvette, but put the douchebag owner behind the wheel, take him to a corvette show and now the car just gets on my nerves because 90% of the owners don't change their own oil and are just plain twats.

The prius is BS on wheels. It rides in the mask of being green because it gets good MPG, but truth is the manufacturing of batteries kills the earth much greater than poor fuel economy. Thats why the Hummer is more 'green' than the Prius. Now the jury is still out on the Chevy Volt to see if they can solve that problem.

I'd drive a hybrid anyday. Its all about saving $. And thats the reason why I got rid of my 06 Monte SS. It got 14mpg! I traded it in an got an HHR. 1, because it gets 24/30mpg and 2, it has 5 doors plus room for hauling the kid and other stuff.
